News Top marks for CelutexCeluform’s Celutex ‘wood effect’ shiplap cladding has been voted top of the class at West Lea Primary School in County Durham. And the parents of pupils at the school have been so impressed with the appearance of Celutex that they have asked for more information about the product for possible installation on their own homes! The cladding was recently installed at West Lea as part of a comprehensive refurbishment project – old and rotten timbers were replaced with white shiplap cladding with the Celutex effect, to improve the weather resistance and overall visual aspect of the property. Double Shiplap PVC-ue cladding with Celutex has a woodgrain appearance that is almost indistinguishable from timber. Unlike wood however, it is completely unaffected by damp, rot, decay, frost or insect attack. There is a comprehensive range of corners, edges and joint trims to ensure a smart, finished look and a 15-year guarantee against defects and discoloration. Headmistress, Mrs Debbie Hughes said, “We are so pleased with the final look of our school – the cladding has given the buildings a new lease of life. The fact that it will require minimum maintenance to retain its clean and fresh look is a real plus.” Local installers Service Direct were also impressed with the product, which they said, “was a pleasure to fit.” “PVC in general is lightweight and flexible, so it’s easier to carry
around on site and promises consistent quality from batch to batch so
it handles the same each time, with less off cuts. Double shiplap
cladding in particular is an easy product to install and delivered
with protective film applied, the finished job always looks gleaming
and new,” says Darren Moles, Celuform’s North East Area Sales Manager.
